Selected CGTS gates will open no later than 8am the day before the start of each designated hunting season. On the last day of the seasons listed the gates will be closed starting at 10pm. The last gate to be closed, gate 12 at the Hilltop Road entrance, will be closed at midnight.
Hunting Areas 1,2,3 and 5 will be open for public use during:
- Youth Deer Gun: Oct. 14, 2022 to Oct. 16, 2022
- Deer Primitive Arms (Muzzleloading): Oct. 22, 2022 to Oct. 30, 2022
- Deer Gun: Nov. 19, 2022 to Dec. 4, 2022
- All seasons: Dec. 5, 2022 to Jan. 15, 2023
- Spring Turkey: April 16, 2023 to May 6, 2023
Hunting areas 4 and 6 will be open for public use unless required for military training and coordinated with EDWC a minimum of 30 days in advance during:
- All open hunting/trapping seasons listed for Camp Gruber: Oct. 1, 2022 to Jan. 15, 2023
- Youth Turkey Spring: April 8, 2023 to April 9, 2023
- Spring Turkey: April 16, 2023 to May 16, 2023
