The Competition
A Citizen-Soldiers skills are the foundation on which the rest of the Oklahoma Army National Guard's strength is built upon.
This multi-day competition pushes participants to their limits, testing their physical fitness, tactical proficiency and mental agility. From rigorous obstacle courses to marksmanship assessments, each competition category embodies the spirit of the warrior ethos.
As Guardsmen compete in various events, they not only demonstrate their individual capabilities but also foster camaraderie and esprit de corps. The stakes are high, as the Soldiers chosen as the Soldier of the Year and NCO of the Year will go on to represent Oklahoma in the National Guard Region V Best Warrior Competition.
The tasks featured in the competition are taken from the Expert Soldier Badge testing and grading criteria, TR 672-9, TP 672-9, TC 3-22.9, AR 600-9, ATP 7.22.01, AR 670-1, TC 7-21.13 Soldier’s Guide, and TC 7-22.7 Noncommissioned Officer Guide.
