Oklahoma Army National Guard Soldiers conducted aerial fire fighting operations at the Burnt Canyon Fire near Woodward, Oklahoma on Saturday, August 15. The UH-60 Black Hawk crew conducted 33 aerial water drops, delivering more than 21,000 gallons of water to help firefighters contain the fire. The Oklahoma National Guard's assistance was requested by the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management. (Oklahoma National Guard video provided by Sgt. 1st Class Kyle Anderson)

U.S., Brunei forces build readiness, trust during Pahlawan Warrior 26

U.S. Army Soldiers with the Oklahoma National Guard partnered alongside Royal Brunei Land Forces personnels to sharpen their skills during Exercise Pahlawan Warrior 26, Aug. 11-21, 2026, building readiness through stronger relationships, shared tactics, and jungle training. Pahlawan Warrior 26 brought approximately 130 U.S. personnel to Brunei Darussalam for the biennial U.S. Army Pacific and Royal Brunei Land Forces exercise under Operation PATHWAYS. Led by 1st Squadron, 180th Cavalry Regiment, Oklahoma National Guard, U.S. participants trained alongside RBLF in tactical operations and subject-matter expert exchanges spanning cyber defense, medical operations and public affairs.
