Oklahoma employers experience National Guard training

By Spc. Danielle Rayon, Oklahoma National Guard

Civilian employers of Soldiers of the 45th Field Artillery Brigade participated in an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) "boss lift" at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, June 25, 2023. The event recognized the contributions and support of 22 employers and treated them to a ride in a CH-47 Chinook, as well as tours and demonstrations of various military vehicles and weapons systems. ESGR, a Department of Defense office, was established in 1972 to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers and to assist in the resolution of conflicts arising from an employee's military commitment.
