TF Tomahawk finishes post mobilization training, departs overseas

OKLAHOMA CITY  –   Leadership with the Oklahoma National Guard, including Brig. Gen. Colby Wyatt, Col. Brad Carter, Col. Andrew Ballenger and Command Sgt. Maj. John Hernandez, bid farewell to members of Task Force Tomahawk as they officially depart overseas to the Horn of Africa. TF Tomahawk is made up of over 800 Oklahoma National Guardsmen joined by Soldiers from the Nebraska and Indiana National Guard. Their mission includes security support at multiple installations across several East African countries and manning the East African Response Force.

April 19th, 1995, 168 lives were lost and hundreds were injured. 30 years later, Oklahoma remembers and honors those that were lost and the Oklahoma National Guard continues to train be a Always Ready, Always There for Oklahoma.
