TF Tomahawk finishes post mobilization training, departs overseas

OKLAHOMA CITY  –   Leadership with the Oklahoma National Guard, including Brig. Gen. Colby Wyatt, Col. Brad Carter, Col. Andrew Ballenger and Command Sgt. Maj. John Hernandez, bid farewell to members of Task Force Tomahawk as they officially depart overseas to the Horn of Africa. TF Tomahawk is made up of over 800 Oklahoma National Guardsmen joined by Soldiers from the Nebraska and Indiana National Guard. Their mission includes security support at multiple installations across several East African countries and manning the East African Response Force.

Oklahoma Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to the 700th Brigade Support Battalion, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, took part in a field exercise at Glenwood Training Area where the logistics Soldiers trained on multiple Soldier skills, July 13-14, 2024.
