CCM Anthony Potts

Chief Master Sergeant Anthony R. Potts serves as the State Command Chief Master Sergeant for the Oklahoma Air National Guard. In this position, he is the senior enlisted advisor to the Adjutant General for Oklahoma on all enlisted Airmen issues. Chief Potts also works closely with the Oklahoma Air National Guard’s senior non-commission officers to insure that, when possible, Airman issues are addressed in a manner that is beneficial to the Oklahoma Air National Guard and its Airmen.

A member of the Oklahoma Air National Guard since December 1986, Chief Potts entered the Air Guard as an Electrical Powerline Specialist completing technical training at Sheppard AFB TX, in June 1987. In April 1996, he was appointed as the NCOIC of the electrical flight where he was charged to serve, mentor and develop junior Airman. In 2004, Chief Potts was selected to be the First Sergeant for the 137th Civil Engineering Squadron, a position he held from 2004-2010, after his tenure ended as a First Sergeant he was then selected as the Electrical Superintendent where he had a wide range of responsibilities, including Airmen health, esprit de corps, discipline, mentoring, well-being, career progression, professional development and recognition of all assigned enlisted members of the Electrical, Power Production and Structures flight. He has participated in Operations SOUTHERN WATCH and IRAQI FREEDOM.

Prior to his current assignment, Chief Potts was assigned to the 137th Aeromedical Squadron where he served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the quadron Commander on all things pertaining to the enlisted force and overall readiness of the squadron.
