BG Steve Elliott

Brigadier General Steve D. Elliott is the Assistant Adjutant General – Army, Oklahoma National Guard. He advises and assists The Adjutant General on the preparation of Oklahoma Army National Guard units for Homeland Defense and mobilization. He has oversight of training, administration, logistics and personnel actions. He directs the immediate staff and provides guidance to the staff and subordinate commanders. General Elliott also facilitates command staff decisions pertaining to force development, planning, strength maintenance and task force operations. He advises The Adjutant General concerning any issue or matter that affects the Oklahoma Army National Guard, its citizen Soldiers and their families.

General Elliott was commissioned in 1988 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and later received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma. In previous assignments, he has served as Assistant General Counsel for the Army Air Force Exchange Service while on Active Duty. General Elliott also served as State Judge Advocate, Joint Force Headquarters; and Staff Judge Advocate for 90th Troop Command and the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. General Elliott deployed to Afghanistan as the Staff Judge Advocate for Headquarters, 45th Infantry Brigade, Coalition Joint Task Force Phoenix.
