Command Master Sgt. Kenneth R. Rogers

State Command Chief Master Sergeant

Chief Master Sergeant Kenneth R. Rogers is the State Command Chief Master Sergeant for the Oklahoma Air National Guard, Joint Force Headquarters, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Chief Rogers serves as the principal advisor to commanders and senior staff on matters of mission effectiveness, professional development, military readiness, training, promotion, retention, utilization, health, morale, welfare and assignment policy affecting over 2,000 enlisted personnel.
 
Chief Rogers enlisted in the Air Force and reported to Basic Military Training in May 1992. Subsequent to his technical training he was assigned to the 31st Combat Communications Squadron at Tinker Air Force Base where he was selected for deployment to Haiti (Operation Uphold/Maintain Democracy), Saudi Arabia (Operation Desert Storm/Southern Watch), and Panama (Operation Steady State) as a tactical communications maintenance technician. In May 1996, Chief Rogers joined the Air National Guard and was assigned to the 137th Communications Flight. Chief Rogers leadership proved invaluable as the lead Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge for numerous Readiness Inspections.
 
Chief Rogers advocated for the Satellite Professional Military Education program through McGhee Tyson's Airman & Family Readiness Program having served as a remote instructor. Additionally, he led the way when the 137th Air Refueling Wing completed an organizational change and converted to a Special Operations Wing within Air Force Special Operations Command. During this tenure in the Air National Guard he deployed to Turkey (Operation Northern Watch), New Mexico (Operation Jump Start), Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom) and Qatar (Operation Freedom’s Sentinel).
 
Prior to his current position, Chief Rogers served as the Chief Enlisted Manager for the 137th Special Operations Communications Flight, Will Rogers Air National Guard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
