_LJ_4177.jpgThis range is used to train and test soldiers on the skills necessary to zero M249 SAW, M60 MG, M240 MG and the M2 MG weapon system; detect; identify; engage and defeat stationary infantry targets in a tactical array. Range consists of 8 firing points. M2 MG firing is restricted to lanes (2-5). The 10 meter zero firing line is located directly in front of the firing berm and consists of 8 firing points. The transition range consists of eight firing points and automated targetry located at distances of 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700 and 800 meters for 5.56mm and 7.62mm weapons. Additional targets at 1100m and 1500m for .50 Cal Weapons on lanes 2-5. Additional targets at 900m and 1000m on lanes 6-7 for sniper fire. Ammunition authorized for use on this range are M249/5.56mm, M60 and M240/7.62mm and M2/. 50 caliber.
